Become a Volunteer
Help spread love by volunteering at our Denton Shelter’s Valentines Party!

Monday, Thursday, & Saturday 8 AM- 8 PM (Shifts are listed in two hour increments)

Spread The Love
Help make an “I love myself because” board for you and with our clients at both shelters!
Savannah Shelter- 2/12/24 from 4-6PM

Childcare
Childcare is a daily need at our Outreach office as moms and family members meet with their counselors, advocates, and legal team. Volunteer in our childcare room for one hour or all day!
Current Volunteers needed in childcare 10AM-12 PM and 12 PM- 2PM
Hygiene Closet Needs
DCFOF clients have the opportunity to shop in our client needs closet and food pantry for all of their hygiene items and essential needs. Spend time at our Outreach office sorting and organizing incoming donations, checking for expired supplies, and maintaining an easy shopping experience for clients.
Mondays or Fridays
10 AM – 2 PM
Be a kind face to a victim who is in the hospital or at a police department after experiencing sexual abuse. Our community has gone from serving one hospital in the region, to serving multiple hospitals in the Denton and Collin County area. We are in urgent need of more kind faces to sit with our survivors during one of the worst days of their life. Summer Time Reviews and Hello FALL!
Summer leaves us and FALL gives us leaves, cooler temps and new things to be excited about.
Here is a recap on some of the reviews we got over the summer months.
Sara Dym says: Gene designed a beautiful new master bathroom for us! We wanted a mix of modern and traditional elements, and he took our preferences and created a design that he then oversaw the construction of down to every detail. It’s not only a beautiful bathroom but has everything we need to meet our specific tastes.
Mark R says: We have completed two major projects with Gene, and we are extremely pleased with the outcomes. He remodeled our kitchen and master bath, and produced results that were a major improvement in both aesthetics and functionality. Gene is a pleasure to work with because he seems to really enjoy the process. He is very professional, and has expertise in design as well as construction.
